Thank you for your interest in èAV. We value and respect our supporters and friends and want you to be comfortable and confident sharing information with us. It’s important you know what we do with any information you entrust to us.
Any information collected on the èAV website and services will be used only for the purposes stated. This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) applies to the èAV website and services (collectively, our “Services”). By using our Services, you (our “Visitors”) agree to the collection, use, disclosure, and procedures this Privacy Policy describes.
Security
èAV takes reasonable measures to protect your information from disclosure to or access by third parties by using physical and electronic safeguards designed to improve the security of the information we maintain. However, as our Services are hosted electronically, please note that we do not guarantee the security of your information.
èAV’ websites (including readingpartners.org and resourcehub.readingpartners.org) are secure sites with SSL certification.
Information we collect
We may collect a variety of information from or about you or your devices from various sources, as described below.
If you do not provide your information when requested, you may not be able to use our Services if that information is necessary to provide you with our Services or if we are legally required to collect it.
A. Information you provide to us
Volunteer registration. On our Services, Visitors have the option to sign up/register to volunteer. Visitors will be asked to provide their name, email, phone number, and other information we may request. Information provided is encrypted and transferred to a secure data storage environment. With this transfer of information, you may gain access to additional resources and may be able to participate in other activities such as volunteering with our program.
Transactions/donations and payment information. When you make a donation or purchase merchandise, a third party service provider that handles payments for us will receive your payment information and process the transaction. èAV maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with industry best practices to guard website visitors’ personally identifiable information.
Communications. If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you. For example, when you contact us, we may receive your name, email address, the contents of a message or attachments that you may send to us, and other information you choose to provide. If you subscribe to our e-mailing list, then we will collect certain information from you, such as your email address.
B. Information we collect when you use our services
Device information. We receive information about the device and software you use to access our Services, including internet protocol (IP) address, web browser type, operating system version, and device identifiers.
Usage information. To help us understand how you use our Services and to help us improve them, we automatically receive information about your interactions with our Services, like the pages or other content you view, and the referral source of your visits.
Information from cookies and similar technologies. We collect information using cookies, pixel tags, or similar technologies. A cookie is a way for websites to recognize whether or not you have visited the site before. It is a piece of data given to a browser by a web server and handed back to the browser on subsequent visits. Recording a cookie makes your online experience easier and more personalized. It also allows us to recognize you and automate your online experience. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies by modifying your browser settings through your browser’s “Help” file. Most of our web pages are viewable even if you disable the cookie function on your browser. However, if you disable cookies, some advanced and customized features of our Services will not be available to you.
How we use the information we collect
We use the information we collect:

How we share the information we collect
Marketing. We do not rent, sell, or share information about you with non-affiliated companies for their direct marketing purposes, unless we have your permission.
Donor privacy policy. èAV values and respects your right to privacy. èAV does not sell, trade, or rent personal donor information, including email addresses, with or to any other individual or entity. èAV will not send donors mailings or solicitations on behalf of other organizations.
èAV will only share or sell personal information once the donor has given the charity explicit permission to do son.
To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donors’ information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.
èAV does not sell, distribute, or transfer personally-identifiable information obtained online or offline from you to a third-party organization. The only exception to this is when it is necessary to share certain information for processing online donations.
Analytics partners. We use analytics services such as Google Analytics to collect and process certain analytics data. You can learn about Google’s practices by going to.
Advertising. We work with third party advertising platforms to display online ads. These advertising platforms may set and access their own cookies, pixel tags and similar technologies on our Services and they may otherwise collect or have access to information about you which they may collect over time and across different online services. Some advertising platforms are members of the Network Advertising Initiative () or the Digital Advertising Alliance (). If you do not wish to receive personalized ads, please visit their opt-out pages to learn about how you may opt out of receiving web-based personalized ads from member companies. You can access any settings offered by your mobile operating system to limit ad tracking.
As required by law and similar disclosures. We may access, preserve, and disclose your information if we believe doing so is required or appropriate to: (a) comply with law enforcement requests and legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; (b) respond to your requests; or (c) protect your, our, or others’ rights, property, or safety. For the avoidance of doubt, the disclosure of your information may occur if you post any objectionable content on or through the Services.
Merger, sale, or other asset transfers. In the unlikely event of a company acquisition or merger, we may disclose and transfer your information to service providers, advisors, potential transactional partners, or other third parties in connection with the consideration, negotiation, or completion of a corporate transaction in which we are acquired by or merged with another company or we sell, liquidate, or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets.
Vendors and service providers. We may share any information we receive with vendors and service providers retained in connection with the provision of our Services.
Affiliates. We may share any information we receive with our affiliates for any of the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Consent. We may also disclose information from or about you or your devices for any of the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We will seek your permission before disclosing any information outside the purview of this Privacy Policy.
C. Your choices
Marketing. When you submit your contact information to èAV through online forms, you may receive periodic electronic mail from èAV. You may unsubscribe from our promotional emails via the link provided in the emails or email us at advancement@readingpartners.org. Even if you opt-out of receiving promotional messages from us, you may continue to receive administrative messages from us when required and within compliance of CAN-SPAM requirements.
Text message communications. We use text messaging to communicate with important information about our Service. Normal messaging rates apply and the frequency of messages may vary. Mobile Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Opt-out of text message communications. You may opt-out of text messaging at any time by replying to any message with STOP. This will end the communications from that particular phone number. You may continue to receive service-related and other non-marketing text messages from other phone numbers managed by èAV, and you may opt out of those in a similar fashion. You may contactvolunteer@

If you choose not to provide us with information we collect, some features of our Services may not work as intended or may not be available to you online.
èAV donor acknowledgement. On occasion, èAV recognizes and thanks donors publicly. If you would prefer not to be recognized, or that your gift remain anonymous, please let us know by emailing donate@readingpartners.org and placing “Donor Anonymity” in the subject line. Your wishes will be respected.
International visitors. Our Services are hosted in the United States and intended for visitors located within the United States. If you choose to use the Services from the European Union or other regions of the world with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, then please note that you are transferring your personal information outside of those regions to the United States for storage and processing. Also, we may transfer your data from the U.S. to other countries or regions in connection with storage and processing of data, fulfilling your requests, and operating the Services. By providing any information, including personal information, on or to the Services, you consent to such transfer, storage, and processing.
D. Compliance
Web links. Our Services may contain links to other websites, products, or services that we do not own or operate. Please note that we are not responsible for the collection, use or security of information by companies or organizations outside of èAV that may be linked to our Services. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of websites reached through the use of links from the èAV Services. Children’s privacy. We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from children 13 years of age and under, and no part of our Services (as defined in this policy) are directed to children 13 years and under. If you learn that a child has provided us with personal information in violation of this Privacy Policy, then you may alert us at advancement@readingpartners.org.
California do not track disclosures. California law requires that we let you know how we respond to web browser Do Not Track signals. Because there is no legal or technical industry standard on how to respond to Do Not Track signals, we do not respond to such signals at this time.
Changes to the privacy policy
We will post any adjustments to the Privacy Policy on this page, and the revised version will be effective when it is posted. If we materially change the ways in which we use or share personal information previously collected from you through the Services, we will notify you through the Services, by email, or other communication.
